Important Information to Customers and Users From midnight on Tuesday 31st August, all regions south of Auckland including Marlborough will move into Alert Level 3. During L3 businesses can open their premises or sites if they can do so safely. People need to work from home unless that is not possible. Workplaces must be operating safely (complying with Alert Level 3 settings; meeting appropriate public health requirements; fulfilling all other health and safety obligations) Customers are not allowed on premises Businesses can trade if they do so without physical contact with customers (e.g. through phone/online orders, delivery, contactless pick-up and drive through) Businesses cannot offer services that involve close personal contact, apart from some essential services, or in an emergency or critical situation. At Port Marlborough, our utmost priority remains the protection of our employees, our customers, users and our community from the spread of COVID-19. However, under Alert Level 3 we will also be facilitating business in accordance with the Government’s guidelines. Please note all businesses intending to resume operations within port common user areas are strongly advised to develop a Covid-19 Safety Plan to ensure their safe operation. The plan will demonstrate and ensure compliance with the Government Alert Level 3 information. WKS-17-Covid-19-Safety-Plan-v3-0 (4) Picton Harbour Radio (PHR) and Port Services duties will continue to operate 24/7. Please contact PHR prior to vessel arrival. They will advise you on the facility you can use. Please note the following: Port Services and Entrance • Picton Harbour Radio (PHR) and Port Services duties continue to operate 24/7 • Port Services interaction will only be by phone or intercom • Visitors and non-essential users will be denied access Marinas While recreational boating is still a prohibited activity under Alert Level 3, businesses are now allowed to operate if they can do so safely, and this includes marina contractors. Picton, Waikawa and Havelock marinas will be physically closed to all customers except for: • Businesses operating safely under Alert Level 3 • Emergency services • Sounds residents – e.g. residents of the sounds with limited or no road access • Existing, known, and approved live-aboard tenants in the marinas Marina closures will include Customer Service Centres, Ablution & Rubbish / Recycling Facilities, Launching Ramp (except for essential use above) Waikawa Hardstand and Travel Lift facilities are open to Registered Marina Contractors who have provided a Covid Safe Work plan only. Should there be any issues with your vessel which require monitoring, please notify marina staff so that we can check on your behalf. All jetties with security gates will be closed 24/7 and accessible by card only. Dock-walks, security patrols and CCTV surveillance will continue to operate.
