Port Marlborough has an exciting opportunity for a Master Mariner who has a current A Grade Marine Medical and experience working in port and international shipping environments, to join the team. Pilots play a key role ensuring safe navigation and manoeuvring of vessels in Queen Charlotte Sound. This key role reports to the Marine Manager and is responsible for maintaining and exercising the use of a Class A pilotage licence for Queen Charlotte Sound and other Marlborough Sounds pilotage areas as available. The role also assists with compliance and developing and coordinating risk assessments, and improving and developing marine operating procedures.
